Nest Pest Control Helps You Breathe Easy Without Cockroaches Again

Exterminate

Coackroaches

Dead.

These Nocturnal Bugs Can Invade & Infest Your Home Before You Realize There’s A Problem.

Why you need a cockroach exterminator:

  • You see roaches.
  • You see their fecal droppings. It looks kind of like pepper flakes all over the place in corners and openings.
  • They can carry salmonella bacteria and can make your own food dangerous.
  • They like wood cabinets and other wood surfaces (or even underground. They’ll often be around the roots of your flowerbeds)
  • Besides looking gross these “water bugs” or “palmetto bugs” are dangerous because of the diseases they carry, the food they eat and more.

Nest Cockroach Elimination Service is the solution!

We exterminate cockroaches all the time. Here is a story of one of our clients.

A homeowner called us, once upon a time. It could have been yesterday or ten years ago. The people change, but much of the story really doesn’t. Anyway, called us almost in tears. You could hear the strain in her voice.

Cockroaches were invading her home. She kept it clean (spotless, really) but they were everywhere and all solutions from the store weren’t working. Sprays, roach traps, whatever, none of it was working. So she called us for help and scheduled an appointment for later that day.

We arrived and immediately went to work. First, we needed to find out all the places they were nesting. Then find out where they were coming from. Cockroaches are notorious hitchhikers. Basically, since they eat things like wood fibers and cloth fibers (and a lot of other things… including each other!) they often get caught in the luggage or packing of people as they move.

However, they also naturally live where there is a lot of decay and water, In nature, they help break down dead and rotting wood and other plant material. In our neighborhoods, that can mean cockroaches live in the flower beds, under a bush or tree or even the garden. Still, Nest Pest Control Service hunts down their nests, entry points like foundation cracks, doors with poor weatherstripping and more, Then we start to exterminate the cockroaches.

We have found baits to be the best to kill cockroaches where they live. Since they eat each other, too, a poisonous bait that will kill a roach after it gets back to the nest will then poison the rest of the community. My skin is crawling writing this description, but that’s what we do! We eliminated all signs of cockroach activity from this house! We also set sprays to keep them from coming back in (it kills them, even up to three months later). Now we come back every few months and keep up the treatment.

I am happy to say, this customer still uses us because the roaches aren’t infesting the home anymore. The only time she sees them might be on her front porch. Dead, before they ever got to the door.

      Did you know…

In Virginia, the most common cockroach species are the American cockroach, which is larger, up to 2 inches in length, and the German cockroach, which is lighter and smaller (about a half-inch when full-grown). The American roaches fly, the German ones do not, though they may flutter their wings to break a fall.

      FAQ

A lot of people have questions about cockroach extermination, pest control and our company. Here are a few that you might have:

Why is it so hard to KILL a cockroach?

Cockroaches, though disgusting, are actually really amazing creatures. They have exoskeletons, like armor, that can shift and move so they can get into really tight places and still move. Their senses of smell and taste hare so acute, they can find protien sources in rather unconventional places like cardboard and paper!

Cockroaches are really good at hiding and can handle some pretty extreme temperatures and even radiation that wouold kill people. Still, there are good ways to kill them and it starts with calling the cockroach extermination experts, Nest Pest Control Service!

      Where do cockroaches hide?

Cockroaches are really adept at hiding. Some hitch a ride into your home from outside in things like bags of pet food, or beverage containers. Often, cockroaches come in through cracks to the outside such as in the foundation or walls. Other roaches get into your home through windows and doors left open and even from drainage pipes.

Then they will search out warma nd humid climates in your home, that is their favorite place to be. Think your kitchen or bathroom. Next on the list is dark places. Roaches are nocturnal and love the dark, so check in dark places all over. Also, they often live inside your walls.
